Know where to be.

FRAMEWARD takes a shoot from first pin to packed bag: spots, trips, gear, exports. It scores the coming days for sunrise colour, fog seas, stars and storm light. Everything stays in a database on your Mac.

Why FRAMEWARD Three things no other planning app does this way
Local-first

Yours, on your Mac.

There is no account and no cloud. Spots, photos, notes, trips and gear lists live in a database on your machine.

When a feature needs an outside provider, FRAMEWARD shows the exact fields it would send and waits for your approval. Every time. This is how the app is built, not a policy page.

Conditions

Photographic conditions, not generic weather.

A regional map layer scores the coming days for the light you actually chase: sunrise and sunset colour, fog seas, starry nights, storm light, fresh snow.

Each score draws on 144 forecast samples and measured cloud layers, low, mid and high. Scores state their confidence. They are interpretations of a forecast, not promises.

Offline maps

The map lives on your disk.

Download the world overview once, then the regions you shoot. The map works on a ridge with no signal and needs no API keys.

No other app in the photography-planning category ships resident offline maps. Included in the one-time purchase.

FAQ Honest answers, including the inconvenient ones
Is my data private?

Yes, by architecture. Your library is a database on your Mac. There is no account and no sync server. When the app needs to call a weather or map provider, it shows the exact fields it would send and asks first. Decline, and nothing is sent.

Does FRAMEWARD work offline?

Your library, trips, gear lists, Field Packs and light times work offline. The map is stored on your disk: download the world overview once, then the regions you shoot. Conditions scoring needs a connection to fetch forecasts.

Which Macs does it run on?

FRAMEWARD is a native macOS app, sold directly from this site. It ships as a universal build, Apple silicon and Intel. Exact minimum system requirements will be confirmed at launch.

What happens if I stop paying for Live?

The app keeps working. Spots, trips, maps, exports, gear lists and light times stay. Day scores pause until you resume. The one-time purchase is yours forever: the major version you buy, all its updates, offline maps included. If there is ever a paid major upgrade, it will be optional and discounted for owners.

Where do the scores come from?

Forecast data comes from Open-Meteo. FRAMEWARD samples the forecast 144 times per scoring, reads measured cloud layers, and interprets the result for photographers with a stated confidence. An interpretation can be wrong. The app says how sure it is rather than pretending certainty.
